Why?
Synths 1 was our beta fibre — an intentional first step to test the performance potential of a protein-based synthetic. And it delivered: incredible movement, a more natural feel, and a glimpse into the future of synthetic braiding hair.
But like any first-of-its-kind innovation, we also uncovered areas to improve — from colour vibrancy to gripability and texture hold. These learnings were priceless. They’ve equipped us with the insight needed to evolve Synths into its final, most advanced form yet.
So now, we’re taking everything we learned, everything you told us, and everything science allows — and we’re building something even better.
When?
We’re expecting to launch Synths 2 in June 2025, and trust us — it’s worth the wait. In the meantime, we’re shifting the spotlight to scalp health. Our new campaign “It’s Not Beauty, It’s Healthcare”, led by Dr Ruka, lands this April and puts our wet products front and centre — a movement designed to restore, nourish, and strengthen at the root. Also — Ruka Human Hair is making its long-awaited return, hitting our shelves in the third week of April.
